The health and safety of people, the protection of the environment and compliance with all applicable legal and internal requirements, as well as industry best practice, are critical to the overall success of the Company. The Company’s Business Management System (BMS) will provide both the framework and mechanism for setting, monitoring and measuring suitable health, safety and environmental objectives as well as ensuring their continual improvement.

Code of conduct

In Horisont Energi, ethics and transparency is not a means to an end, but an end in itself.Developing our character and striving to be better humans is key to a better life and to a successful business.

The Code of Conduct shall reflect who we are, and who we strive to be.
It is a public declaration of our company’s identity. It is also the key to a sustainable and responsible business for the future.

Ethics

We work to the highest ethical standards and aim to be transparent in our dealings with all stakeholders. We aim to show fairness in our treatment of all organisations who supply us with goods or services and encourage fair and open competition while seeking value for money.

The  Company’s policies have been established in accordance with the Bribery Act 2010 and as such the acceptance or payment of bribes in any form is totally unacceptable. We also avoid situations where private interests conflict with our business and objectives.

Anti-Bribery and  Corruption Policy

It is our policy to conduct all our business in an honest and ethical manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate.

We implement and enforce effective systems to counter bribery and corruption.

Anti-Facilitation of
Tax Evasion Policy

The  Company’s policy is to conduct business in an honest way, and to seek to prevent the use of corrupt practices including tax evasion.

Tax evasion is the use of illegal means to attempt to minimize tax liability through fraudulent techniques to circumvent or frustrate tax laws.

Modern Slavery Statement

The Company is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we expect our suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Whistle-blowing Policy

The Whistle-blower policy will apply in cases where an employee genuinely and in good faith believes that one of a set of circumstances is occurring, has occurred or may occur within the Company.

ESG

Horisont Energi seeks to minimise environmental impact and encourage environmental consciousness.

We do not accept products or working routines which are unreasonably harmful to the environment or components of products which do not live up to high ethical, environmental and safety standards. We will use the ALARP principle and do our outmost to seek more sustainable solutions and more environmentally friendly products.

It is an ambition of Horisont Energi to contribute to a sustainable energy future and to have as low impact on global warming as possible. Environmental impact and risks are considered prior to any investment decision to be made by the Company, in order to minimise the environmental impacts of the company’s business. Through means such as energy efficient development solutions, use of new technologies that reduce environmental impact, careful use of resources, optimisation of operations, recycling, and handling of waste, we will do investments in the energy value chain with the aim to stay within emissions targets under such agreements as the Paris agreement.

All business conduct and related activities must uphold respect for internationally recognised human rights principles.

Discrimination based on gender, age, race, sexual orientation or religion is not tolerated, nor does Horisont Energi accept neglect of health and safety issues. Horisont Energi respects applicable national and international labour laws and will work to ensure excellent labour and working conditions.

Horisont Energi acknowledges the importance of good corporate governance in connection with our business.

And thus adheres to all applicable anti-corruption laws, anti-terror financing laws, business transparency principles and ‘best practice’ standards. The principles of fair business, marketing and advertising practices is upheld by Horisont Energi, and we will seek to take all reasonable steps to ensure high quality and reliability of the goods and services provided by us.

Horisont Energi will have a well-defined compliance program and policy, and equally well defined principles for our ethical code of conduct. We will make sure that every employee is familiar and trained in these principles and rules. This will be audited regularly.

Horisont Energi will exhibit honesty, integrity, fairness and respect in all its business dealings, and not make representations or omissions, nor engage in any other practices that are deceptive, misleading, fraudulent or unfair. To avoid such business dealings Horisont Energi will seek to conduct integrity due diligence evaluations of its business partners and suppliers as thoroughly as possible.

If it becomes clear that Horisont Energi is in material breach of the adopted ESG policy, reasonably necessary actions will be made to rectify any such breach.

The Company supports the seventeen sustainable

development goals provided by United Nations (FN)
and the ultimate goals of the Paris agreement.

 

In addition, we will actively work to support the carbon free
economy that the world needs in order to reach these goals.
We aim to build sustainability principles into our business.
